HICKS Jr., WILLIAM "BILL" OWEN William "Bill" Owen Hicks, Jr., 85, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010. On December 1, 2010, Bill lost a year-long battle to pancreatic cancer. Ramsey loved his students, but - because of the enormous respect he had for the benefits of a good education - he held them to the highest standards and strived to make the educational process fun. Gust is survived by his wife of 57 years, Glenda Anderson; three children Gary, Gordon, and Gail and their spouses; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Signe; and seven nieces and nephews. He was wonderful outdoorsman who loved golfing, backpacking, skiing and fishing. He was the founder and owner of Jerry's truck service in Williams for 20 years. He loved golf and was a passionate fisherman, having spent numerous summers in Alaska. She was followed by 7 sisters; Laverne, Virginia, Betty, Doris, Nancy, June and Bobbye. It was not unusual for Ralph to bring his young child along when driving a school bus (Thom) or moonlighting as a water meter reader (Carol). Jean loved to host her family and friends, and was a creative and wonderful cook, craftsperson, and collector of antique prints and furnishings. He also loved playing handball at the Olympic Club, recently celebrating 50 years of membership.
